Meet Alexis

Hi there, my name is Alexis - which incidentally means helper, and I am based in Needham Market in Suffolk. In 2020, I felt called to create a new business with the aim of helping people to tackle the problems that were preventing them from enjoying a good quality of life. After many years of working in the wider health and social care sectors, I felt the time was right to branch out and ‘go it alone’ by providing a uniquely person-centred service right in the heart of my local community – and that’s how Capable Citizens Collective was born.

However, I hadn’t factored in a Pandemic, which quite honestly required a swerve in this road quite early on. But adaptability is my middle name, and being flexible is just one of my armoury of useful skills. Another is to recognise the adverse symptoms of stress and anxiety and help you deal effectively with the damaging consequences of those issues too. So, here we go! Please read on and get to know me better, and I hope I may be able to help YOU.

Alexis Devereux DipBSoM - Business Owner

With over thirty years of experience in community engagement, later life complexity, a variety of mental health services, and independent living, my objective has been to create a range of compassionate, yet practical support options, specifically designed to help you thrive.

With a clear understanding of the skillset needed to achieve optimum well-being, I have developed a unique ability to help people through a blend of practical and psychologically informed interventions to flourish and achieve the personal and lifestyle changes they are seeking.

In addition, I am passionate about building wider networks of support and friendly spaces to explore a range of mental and physical health challenges, whilst creating meaningful community connections. This I achieve through online engagement, in-person workshops, and events, as well as my successful Mindfulness Classes held here in the heart of Needham Market. The background to these initiatives is my wish to share more widely the tools that helped me to recover from burnout and other personal challenges. I realised that by combining my mentoring and health coaching skills I could also help more people find solutions to a whole range of problems that they might be struggling with.

I work with all ages and am open to your varied challenges. My service charges will match the quality of the care and experience I am capable of giving you, and my one-to-one support can be negotiated individually after our initial assessment depending on your personal circumstances, requirements, and location, where travel costs may be applied. As a guide, my hourly rate is £25, with classes and workshops kept as affordable as possible.

So, please - take a look at the services I can offer you. Give me a call so that we can talk about what you would like to achieve.
